Since Méca-Fluid was founded, our approach has always been to provide the best possible service to ALL our customers, taking their different needs into account.
That is why, whether you are part of a multinational, an SME or a family-run business, we have designed our website to be accessible and to meet the needs of as many people as possible. Consequently, when the website was created, we integrated a PunchOut module enabling us to link our clients’ SAP (or another application) to our website.
In short, how does it work?
eProcurement, or online procurement, is a process that enables better management of purchases whilst reducing costs. This method relies in particular on the use of the internet and aims to simplify the exchange of information between buyers and sellers.
The PunchOut module, for its part, enables the buyer’s eProcurement system to be linked directly to the supplier’s website. The client, via their SAP interface, for example, then logs into the supplier’s website using their own login details. They can then browse the seller’s website and add items to their shopping basket. When the customer finishes shopping and clicks on ‘Confirm my basket’, the shopping basket is automatically transferred back to their SAP interface. At this stage, no order confirmation is sent to the seller. It is only when the customer confirms their order within their SAP interface that the order follows the usual purchasing process (approval by other staff members, automatic email sent to the supplier, etc.)
